About our team

Our salon and spa in Yorkville, IL started in a small location on the north side of town in January of 2003 and have been growing ever since. After moving to a larger location on the South side of Yorkville, in 2015 we are now in a smaller, more quaint setting just North of the downtown area. of Yorkville, Illinois. We feel that having our full service salon in Yorkville allows us to have the cutting edge type of clientele that we want, and allows those same people the luxury of not having to travel far to get those services.

We are the only Yorkville hair salon and day spa that offers a full menu. Many locations have just salon OR spa services available- and we have it all under one roof!

Our staff makes continuing education a top priority. We have been trained by some of the top educators in our industry. Louisville, Nashville, Chicago and Las Vegas top out our National Education scene. In October of 2009, Davines' World Wide Hair Tour was in Venice, Italy. Our salon's stylists were among the attendees.

Aside from being the 2003 Retailer of the Year, all stylists are educated in many aspects. We are currently certified in Remi Hair Extensions, Thermal Straightening, Paul Mitchell- Mastery Level, Brocato Smoothing Systems and more.

I've been in and exposed to beauty and health field for 15 plus years. My mother and grandmother were very much into taking care of their skin. Mother was a massage therapist and a health enthusiast through food and vitamins. I got started as a preteen one summer in skin care cosmetics and etiquette classes. I learned a lot and it stuck with me for years through this early education. I decided t investigate the beauty field and discovered there are schools in esthetics and nails. I received a nail tech license first to get started n the field. Then I went for a license in esthetics. I have found I have a passion for the skin care. I really enjoy facials, body treatments and waxing. I've taken continuing advanced classes in both fields from nutrition, aromatherapy, reflexology, herbs and vitamins all of which help skin and nails in various ways. Attending conventions in California, Miami and Las Vegas to network with others in the esthetics and nails to see and learn about new products and ideas in these fields. Taking classes from various people such as Slyvia Henessy of Pevonia, Lydia Sarfat, Repehage, Helma of Helma B all whom launch the industry before anyone knew what a spa was. Also attending medical seminars for post and pre op skin care for those that choose this route to get the best results they can through proper skin care. I love showing my clients how to take care of their skin, hand and feet so that they can get the best results. Through professional products and my advanced education I can show you that its maintenance and grooming the skin to have healthy and beautiful skin every day not just pampering once in a while. Nothing is more rewarding when a client loves the way there skin looks and feels.

As a stylist and owner of Reflections Metro, I take great pride in the services we offer and the staff that is here for the public. I have been a stylist for over 19 years and have been the owner of this salon for 16+ years. Having multiple locations at one point can be a bit of a challenge, but with the proper staff behind the scene and a Business Marketing degree from NIU, it has definitely gotten easier over time... As a stylist I specialize in dimensional color, cutting and texturizing services. I am also certified with the Cinderella Hair Company in permanent hair extensions. I have had the pleasure of learning under some of the best stylists in the world in some of the most amazing locations. Las Vegas~ several times, San Diego, Chicago, Nashville, Louisville, Venice~ Italy are just several of the stops on the education path. I was even fortunate enough to take a Caribbean Cruise with John Amico and learn their methods of success. Davines, Brocato, Paul Mitchell & TiGi are other amazing brands that I have had the pleasure of learning from. I absolutely love what I do. Working with the public and making them look and feel their best is extremely rewarding. I don't believe any of this would be possible if it weren't for the team we have at Reflections Metro. Through this company, I have made many great friendships- professional and personal. I look forward to coming to work and sharing my experiences with my clients each day.

Hi! My name is Alison and I have been in the beauty industry for almost 10 years! I have been exposed to this industry through my mother and grandmother- they are both Cosmetologists. I graduated Cosmetology school in 2004, just 6 months after graduating High School. I worked a few years in a salon but decided to go back to school and graduated Esthetics School in 2006. I enjoy furthering my education and have taken classes in Make-Up, Spray Tanning, Waxing, Natural Nails & Facials. My ultimate goal for my clients is to understand and enjoy taking care of themselves and feel better.

Hi- My name is Malia. I have been a cosmetologist since 2000. I have worked in the salon atmosphere for almost that whole time. I did however, take a few years off to have my children and be with them. I am ready to get back at doing what I love and making people look great. I continue to take advanced classes that keep myself up to date with all the styles and trends. I started in this industry because I love the artistic side to it and along the way fell in love with helping people feel great.
